            Introduction

CD EXTRA is a brand-new way of experiencing music. It is an audio
CD which can be played in a traditional CD player, as well as an
interactive multimedia CD-ROM. When placed in your CD-ROM drive,
you can access the audio tracks and a multimedia experience. This
CD is also a hybrid disc compatible with both Macintosh and Windows
PC's.

This CD EXTRA uses QuickTime 3.0, included on this disc.
The CD EXTRA will check for QuickTime and can launch the installer
if it doesn't find the necessary version on your system.
QuickTime 3.0 is required in order for the video and audio to work properly.

To play the demo of NBA Inside Drive 2000.
- You may play the demo by launching it through the CD EXTRA or locate and open NBADEMO.EXE
- You need to have Directx 6.0 or above (included on this disc); locate and open DX61ENG.EXE.


           Minimum Requirements

- IBM compatible Pentium 100 MHz or faster
- 16 MB RAM
- Microsoft Windows 95 / 98
- 640 x 480, 256-color (8 bit) display
- double speed or faster multi-session CD-ROM drive*
  with Enhanced CD compatible firmware
- 8 bit sound card

*If you are unsure of your CD-ROM drive's capabilities, please
 contact your hardware manufacturer to verify that your drive
 contains Enhanced CD (Blue Book/Multi-session) compatible
 firmware.


        Playing your CD EXTRA Title

Windows 3.1:
PLEASE NOTE:  This CD EXTRA is NOT Windows 3.1 compatible.
Other, older CD EXTRA were compatible with Windows 3.1.
For technical reasons, this CD EXTRA will not install or run on Windows 3.1.
Feel free to browse your CD-ROM, and view the QuickTime movies using your Movie Player.

Windows 95:
- After inserting the CD EXTRA in your CD-ROM drive, the screen will go black.
- In a few moments, be patient, CD-ROM speed matters, the title will start up.
- If your computer is not set to "Autorun" the title will not appear.
- Set your computer to Autorun or simply double-click NBA.EXE on the CD-ROM.

If you have had any trouble connecting to the Internet directly through the CD EXTRA,
simply cut-and-paste this URL into your browser.

            Troubleshooting:

Getting Started
1. If your disc didn't autorun then simply double click on the NBA.EXE.
2. Make sure the CD is in your CD-ROM drive before starting your
 CD EXTRA title.

 NOTE: Some machines with older versions of Windows 95 will require additional system files.
 If the CD EXTRA will not run at all, or causes system crashes, run the file MSVCRT.EXE included with this disk.
 It will add the necessary components for correct playback.

Sound Problems
1. Is your volume turned up? Are your speakers plugged in?
2. Do you have a Sound Blaster compatible sound card that can
 handle 8-bit, 22K sound? Is it installed properly in Windows?
 Try using another piece of software to play sound within
 Windows.
3. If you have a mixing control panel, check that the levels
 are not set to zero.
4. Did you install QuickTime version 3.0 or above for Windows?  If not, you can install
 it from the CD EXTRA by running the file D:/QT_3/SETUP.EXE
 where D represents your CD-ROM drive letter.

Video problems
1. Did you install QuickTime for Windows?  If not, you can install
 it from the CD EXTRA by running the file D:/QT_3/SETUP.EXE
 where D represents your CD-ROM drive letter.


Enhancing the performance of your CD EXTRA
Turn off all other programs while you are running the Enhanced CD.
This includes applications, clocks, screen savers and other software.

Entertainment Inc. concerns this product, hereafter referred to
as Software. By using and installing this disc, you agree to be
bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree with
this licensing agreement, please return the CD in its original
packaging with register receipt within 7 days from time of
purchase to: Sony Music Entertainment Inc., Radio City Station,
P.O. Box 844, New York, NY 10101-0844, for a full refund.
1. LICENSE; COPYRIGHT; RESTRICTIONS.  You may install and use
your copy of the Software on a single computer. You may not
network the Software or otherwise use or install it on more
than one computer or terminal at the same time. The Software
(including any images, text, photographs, animations, video,
audio, and music) is owned by Sony Music Entertainment Inc. or
its suppliers and is protected by United States copyright laws
and its international treaty provisions. You may not rent,
distribute, transfer or lease the Software. You may not reverse
engineer, disassemble, decompile or translate the Software.
2. LIMITED WARRANTY.  Sony Music Entertainment Inc. warrants
that the original Software disc[s] will perform substantially in
accordance with the accompanying printed materials for a
period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Sony Music
Entertainment Inc.'s entire liability and your exclusive remedy
shall be limited only to replacement of the Software that is
determined to be defective during the warranty period. This
Limited Warranty is void if the defective Software resulted
from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement
Software will be warranted for the remainder of the original
warranty period.
3. NO OTHER WARRANTIES.  To the maximum extent permitted by
applicable law, Sony Music Entertainment Inc. disclaims all
other warranties, either express or implied, including but not
limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness
for a particular purpose, with respect to the Software. This
limited warranty gives you no specific legal rights. You may
have others, which vary from state/jurisdiction to
state/jurisdiction.
